Porn Mag Lands Chatham Man In Jail

A man charged with committing an indecent act in Chatham last week is once again in trouble with police.

Upon being released last week the 22-year-old had conditions that included not possessing pornographic material. Around 5pm yesterday an officer observed the man riding his bike behind an abandoned building on Keil Dr. in Chatham, and as the officer approached, the man is alleged to have thrown a pornographic magazine on the ground.

As the suspect was being arrested he fled before eventually being caught after a short foot chase, where officers say they also recovered methamphetamine.

The Chatham man now faces charges of failing to comply with bail conditions, escaping lawful custody, and drug possession. He was being held pending a bail hearing.
