Armed Robbery At Chatham Convenience Store

An armed robbery at a Chatham convenience store has a 17-year-old facing a slew of charges.

Police say a lone male with his face covered entered the Mac's Milk on McNaughton Ave. W around 12:55am yesterday. While brandishing a knife, the male demanded cash and cigarettes and then fled with the goods, on foot.

Officers flooded the area but couldn't track down the suspect. Through an investigation police say they were able to identify a suspect and made an arrest just before 10am yesterday.

The youth has been charged with robbery, wearing a disguise with intent, and breach of probation for failing to comply with court ordered curfew.
