Thamesville Boy's Wish To Come True

A six-year-old Thamesville boy fighting cancer will have his wish come true.

The Make-A-Wish foundation is providing Michael with a backyard play set, something he's always wanted so he could play with his five-year-old brother Dallas.

"Michael was actually referred by a social worker at the hospital in London," says Wish coordinator Brittany Kinchen. "So we connected with the family, and then we have volunteers in all of our counties that come out and meet so Michael's volunteer wish granter Wendy came out and met with him and learned a little bit more about what he would like and what he'd like to wish for."

Area volunteers and organizations are at the family's home today building the play set while Michael is in hospital undergoing chemotherapy treatments. A big reveal party will be held tomorrow afternoon, when Michael arrives home from the hospital.
