Classic Cars, Antique Boats The Main Attraction At WAMBO

Car enthusiasts and boat lovers came from near and far to attend the 27th annual Wallaceburg Antique Motor and Boat Outing (WAMBO).

The weekend festival kicked off on Friday and featured a huge gathering of antique boats, classic and specialty cars, fire trucks, as well as motorcycles. Festival goers were also treated to live music, karaoke, a soap box derby, police boat and fire truck parades, as well as a "Dream Cruise" of classic cars.

WAMBO Equipment Manager Willy Wenzel says event has become an important part of the Wallaceburg community.

"I've lived here my whole life and I think this is a great event for this community. It brings a lot of people from out of town and the businesses thrive," he says. "I think (WAMBO) is a very good thing and it puts us on the map."

WAMBO is considered one of the largest transportation shows in Canada.
