A crash in the westbound lanes of the 401 approaching County Rd. 42 was blocking traffic earlier.
At that time, all of the westbound lanes were blocked, but traffic was still able to pass by on the shoulder of the highway.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
