Wheatley Woman Charged With Arson

Chatham-Kent police have made an arrest in connection with a fire that caused $250,000 damage at a Wheatley residence.

Police say investigators who were looking into a fire on Erie St. S. determined that it appeared to be suspicious. The blaze occurred Thursday, August 13.

Officers arrested a Wheatley woman in connection with the case yesterday and charged her with arson.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
