Even More Pot Found In Orford Township

Police have seized another batch of marijuana plants scattered throughout a corn field in Orford Township.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service says on Sunday afternoon, officers attended the field after receiving a tip and seized 15 plants for destruction.

Police say potential street value of the plants is estimated at $15,000.

Last month, police seized almost 200 marijuana plants in other corn fields in Orford Township.

Anyone who suspects that marijuana plants are growing in a field is asked to call police at 519-352-1234 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
