Tom Mulcair Rallies For Votes In Sarnia-Lambton

Roughly 500 people were on hand as NDP Leader Tom Mulcair made another stop in Sarnia-Lambton.

The Holiday Inn in Point Edward was packed with orange supporters as Mulcair highlighted some of the ongoing issues locally, including affordable child care, helping out small businesses and tackling poverty among seniors.

He says the economy is counting on the success of small businesses.

During his speech, Mulcair says he plans to increase taxes for large business and help families with affordable $15 a day childcare.

Provincial NDP Leader Andrea Horwath also attended the rally as Mulcair made his second trip to the area in less than a month.

He was not available to media for a comment.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
