Sharks Ready For Exhibition Season

The Wheatley Omstead Sharks hockey team opens the Jr. C preseason tonight in Lakeshore when they take on the Canadiens.

Head Coach Ken Galerno says the change in ownership is a good thing.

"The structure that's in place now is going to allow me to concentrate more on just coaching," says Galerno. "I won't have my fingers in some of the other aspects of the game, so I can concentrate and be most responsible for player and execution."

Last season, the Sharks finished 7th in the regular season before losing in four straight to Amherstburg in the first round of the playoffs.

The Sharks takes on the Canadiens tonight at 7:05pm in Lakeshore, then host the Canadiens in Wheatley on Sunday night.
