Discount Cat Adoption Rate

Community Relations Coordinator Robyn Brady says the cost of adopting adult cats has been cut to $50 for this week only in the hope of finding them homes.

"We're pretty much always surrounded by cats here, we have a lot of stray cats, abandoned cats brought into the shelter, cats with new born kittens brought in, as with pretty much every summer this summer has been very busy," she says. "This is the lowest adoption price that we have, it includes having the animal spayed or neutered, micro-chipped they get all of their basic vaccinations, treated for fleas and worms and six weeks of pet insurance."

She says the agency has to make room because it already knows there will be a lot more cats brought in for adoption next over the next month.
