UPDATE: Severe Thunderstorm Warning Ended

All severe thunderstorm watches and warnings issued for Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent have ended.

Environment Canada meteorologists were previously tracking a line of thunderstorms with very strong wind gusts, up to penny size hail, and heavy rain.

As part of the warning, officials were reminding residents to take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches because strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, and break branches off of trees.
