CCAC Reviews Strategic Plan

The Erie St. Clair Community Care Access Centre is reviewing the strategic initiatives it set a year ago to see if tweaks and changes are needed.

Chief Executive Lori Marshall says one of the main parts of the plan include getting feed-back from CCAC clients and patients.

"One of the things we are most proud of is our movement into patient and family centered care, we've recruited 20 patient advisors at this point, we hope to have at least a hundred by the end of the fiscal year," she says. "Demand for home and community care continues to increase, we had some challenges over the last year with respect to our fiscal position, we expect to balance by the end of this year."

Marshall says patient advisors are especially needed in Windsor and Sarnia but people are welcome to apply in Chatham-Kent as well.

Their role is to help review policy and proposals and to assist in hiring staff.
