Rockaoke Takes Over Erieau

Hundreds of people will get to feel like rock stars, for at least one night.

Rockaoke on the Beach, Karaoke with a live rock band, takes over Laverne Kelly Memorial Park in Erieau.

"We have projectors set up, we have a three-camera set up with a live cut, and giant lighting and sound set up too," says Chris Luis with Lakeside Entertainment. "So you're actually a rock star for one song and it looks like you're a part of a giant band, it's pretty cool."

Luis says he was inspired while travelling in England and went to a pub that had a similar set up.

The event gets underway at 3:30pm and costs $10 to get in. They will have a number of local craft brewers on site and local food vendors.
