The Harrow Fair Keeps Rolling (Gallery)

The Harrow Fair doesn't look ready to slow down after the 161st edition held over the Labour Day long weekend.

Gwen Bergen says the county fair keeps bringing people out.

"When you come out to a small fair it's a community event. It's not over commercialized or advertised and it's the kids last, big fun holiday before the kids go back to school," says Bergen.

Another fair-goer, Bob Henricks, thinks the Harrow Fair has earned its longevity.

"I think it's a multi-cultural affair and it's also a multi-agricultural affair and you don't see that in Essex County anymore," says Henricks, who won't deny his taste buds help bring him back each year. "First of all the food of course and then we try to hit all the programs at night time."

The Harrow Fair wrapped on Sunday and included lawn tractor races, food, art and livestock competitions as well as live musical acts Friday and Saturday nights.
