SCCDSB Ratifies Provincial Deal

The St Clair Catholic District School Board has put its support behind a new deal between the province and the Ontario English Catholic Teachers' Association (OECTA).

The deal, which was originally announced back on August 25, means teachers are a step closer to securing a new contract.

The details of the new deal have been withheld by OECTA, until ratification from Ontario Catholic school boards has gone through.

At least 50% of the school boards need to vote in favour of ratifying the deal for provincial talks to officially come to an end. Discussions at the local level are set to get underway once the provincial deal is approved.
