O'Reilly Case Adjourned Until October

The impaired driving case against Buffalo Sabres star and Clinton-area native Ryan O'Reilly has been put over to next month.

At the London courthouse on Thursday morning, the judge scheduled the next appearance for October 1.

Lawyers say they need some time to review photographs and other evidence.

The 24-year-old O'Reilly was arrested following a single-vehicle crash in Lucan on July 9.

Investigators say a green Chevrolet pickup truck crashed into a Tim Hortons on Richmond St. around 4am. The driver then left the scene and was spotted a short time later on Main St.

Police allege the driver, later identified as O'Reilly, had been drinking alcohol and failed breath testing.

He was taken to police headquarters and charged with impaired driving and failing to remain at the scene of an accident. He was later released from custody.

A lawyer appeared on O'Reilly's behalf at an August 20 court date.
