Economic Upside To Hometown Hockey Event

Tourism Sarnia-Lambton says Rogers Hometown Hockey will bring national exposure to the area with an estimated economic impact of $1-million.

Sportsnet and Hometown Hockey host Ron MacLean will film a segment in Sarnia Saturday, December 19 for broadcast December 20 during the game in Detroit between the Red Wings and Calgary.

TSL's Vicky Praill is thrilled Sarnia is part of the 2015-2016 tour.

Each Hometown Hockey stop features NHL alumni, hometown heroes, local entertainment and all new hockey stories.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
