Terry Fox Volunteers Needed

Terry Fox runs are a little over a week away and some of the organizers are looking for people to help stage the events.

There are varying lengths taking place including a 35 km run in Chatham and co-organizer Jessica Barton says there are plenty of volunteer opportunities.

"We're looking for people to start at different times in the morning, we have a special 35 km run this year that we need extra volunteers for," she says. "We are doing it in a way that we can give them as much support as possible with water and Gatorade and food just to help keep them going."

Barton says there will be a need for people controlling the flow of participants at intersections as well has handing out drinks and food along the route.
