Body Identified As Missing Man

Police say the body found near a London hospital is that of a missing Wallaceburg man.

Frederick Sutherland, 68, walked away from Victoria Hospital in London around 1am on Monday, September 7.

Following an extensive search of a marsh area near the hospital a body was recovered yesterday.

Sutherland was found in a green space north of Commissioners Rd. E. near railway tracks.

An autopsy was done in London and police do not suspect foul play in his death.

Sources say Sutherland was being treated in the city for cancer. He left the hospital on his own, without being discharged.
