Union Gas Bills Decrease In Quarterly Adjustment

Union Gas bills are going down next month.

As of October 1, the average residential customer in southern Ontario will see a decrease of 1.5-per-cent which amounts to about $10 less a year for a total bill of $670.

Union Gas spokesperson Andrea Stass says rates are adjusted quarterly based on the market price of the commodity.

She says prices have declined dramatically due to the discovery of new supplies in areas close to Ontario and are lower today than they were ten years ago.

The next rate adjustment will come in December.
