Free Legal Advice Clinics

Legal Aid Ontario is working to make legal advice more accessible across the region.

To do that, it's holding a series of monthly advice clinics in Amherstburg, Belle River, Harrow, Windsor, and Tilbury.

Lawyer Ashley Lavigne says the free clinics are primarily for low-income residents who are experiencing family law issues.

"Those issues include separation, divorce, custody, child and spousal support, access, and child protection matters," says Lavigne. "There's not generally an issue that we can't give advice on with regard to family law."

The clinic in Amherstburg takes place the fourth Thursday of every month, the Belle River clinic is the third Monday afternoon of the month, the Harrow clinic is second Thursday afternoon of the month, and the Tilbury Clinic is the first Monday of every month, except this month it is September 25th.
