Chatham-Kent police say a 70-year-old man was working on a tomato harvester on Brook Line yesterday morning when he sustained a head injury.
He was taken to hospital in Chatham and later air lifted to London. Police say the man remains in stable condition.
The Ministry of Labour has taken over the investigation from police.
SPS Board Chair Kelly Ash said the decision followed discussions with Acting Chief Mike Federico and aligns with practices at other police services.
