Proud Parents See Son's 1st Goal

Clachan native Travis Konecny scored his first NHL goal in the pre season last night, and thanks to the internet, his family got to watch.

Rob Konecny and his wife watched the game with his parents and other family at his sisters house on the Philadelphia Flyers live website feed.

"My wife was very excited, she jumped up, she's a big fan and she was cheering and we were all grabbing our phones again, not that we live on them, but we wanted to kind of capture it for him because it's kind of neat for Travis, later down the road to come back and look at that and hear his perspective," says Konecny. "So we got some memories for him there."

Travis scored in the second period of the Flyers 5-3 win over the Islanders.

Konecny says his son was also excited to hear that he'll be in the line-up again tonight when the Flyers face the New York Rangers.
