Debate Helps Undecided Voters (GALLERY)

Undecided voters in Chatham-Kent-Leamington are closer to making a decision come election day after an all-candidates debate Thursday night in Tilbury.

Elizabeth Brooker says the almost two-hour debate gave her a better idea of where her vote will go.

"It help me eliminate some, so that's a start," says Brooker. "I'll be thinking about what they said and trying to, not only think about what I want for myself, but the community and the country as well."

Kevin Wiebe went into the debate giving all the candidates a blank slate.

"I was actually hoping to be more impressed with the Green Party. I like a lot of their stuff on paper. I was surprised by how impressed I was with Katie Omstead with the Liberal Party," says Wiebe.

The debate brought out more than 100 people to the Knights of Columbus hall in Tilbury — mostly party supporters.

Incumbent Dave Van Kesteren represented the Conservatives, Katie Omstead represented the Liberals, Tony Walsh represented the NDP and Mark Vercouteren represented the Green Party.
