New Van For Community Living

Community Living Wallaceburg has unveiled a new $65,000 accessible van it just received with the help of donations from the Chatham-Kent Community Foundation, South Kent Wind and Enterprise holdings.

Communications coordinator Candice Jeffrey says it is to help people get around.

"This vehicle was really needed for the individuals we support to have access to reliable and accessible transportation," she says. "It was customized to our needs, we can fit three individuals in wheelchairs in the vehicle at once plus support staff."

Jeffrey says Community Living Wallaceburg supports more than 400 people with about 100 of them needed specialized transportation.
