1987 Murder Suspect Gets Bail Hearing

After nearly a month of unfruitful court appearances, counsel for Harwich's George Jarvis has secured a bail hearing for their client.

Jarvis will be in-person when his bail is discussed on October 5. The date was decided on by a Chatham judge and Jarvis' lawyer, Ken Marley.

Before leaving the courtroom, Marley addressed his client directly, saying "that's all for today Mr. Jarvis, I'll see you soon." Jarvis stood as he has in his past appearances, arms crossed and staring straight ahead.

Jarvis was arrested back on August 27 in connection with the murder of his wife Donna in 1987. The case was reopened in 2013.
