Huge Draw For CK Film Fest

Organizers say they received over 200 submissions for this years Christian Life International Film Festival in Thamesville.

The second annual event will open up Saturday at the Thamesville United Church. While they couldn't allow all submissions, festival director Florin Marksteiner says audiences can look forward to a sampling of everything.

"From western, to spiritual, comedy and animation. We tried to keep everything maximum 30 minutes," he says.

The films will get underway at 9am Saturday and run until 10pm. Screenings will continue Sunday afternoon starting at 1pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
