Man Riding Mower With Beer Cooler Arrested

A traffic stop involving a riding lawnmower in Pain Court has led to an arrest.

Chatham-Kent police got a call yesterday about a man driving the mower on Winterline Rd. while in possession of alcohol. Officers spotted the man near Normandin Line while in possession of a cooler containing beer.

Through their investigation police learned the man was bound by conditions from Alberta not to possess alcohol or drive a motor vehicle.

The 48-year-old Dover Township man was arrested and held for a bail hearing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
