Jarvis Gets Bail

The Chatham-Kent man accused in the death of his wife back in 1987 has made bail.

George Jarvis appeared before a judge at the Chatham Courthouse today, posting a bail of $25,000.

A publication ban was set on the hearing. That means evidence, conditions of Jarvis' release, as well as his sureties will not be disclosed. Where Jarvis will live and who he'll live with is also being withheld.

Jarvis' wife Donna died 28 years ago. Chatham-Kent police reopened the case of her death in 2013, with Jarvis being arrested in August 2015.
