Wanted Man Turns Himself In

A man wanted on a Canada wide arrest warrant has turned himself in to police in Leamington.

Officials with the OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad say Dale Monforton turned himself in this morning after information was released to the media.

The 39-year-old walked away from a Windsor half-way house while serving 3-years for armed robbery.

Authorities from Windsor to Sarnia were searching for him.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
