House Fire Causes $30K Damage

Damage is pegged at $30,000 after a house fire in Chatham.

Crews were called to 365 Grand Ave. E. just before 11:30pm yesterday.  Upon arrival officials say there was considerable smoke and flames.

Crews used an aggressive offensive attack from inside the home and the fire was quickly extinguished.

No injuries were reported.

The estimated value of the property saved is $220,000.

The cause is still under investigation.
