Police Probe Suspicious House Fire

Chatham-Kent police continue to look for leads in connection with a house fire that is now considered suspicious.

The Office of the Ontario Fire Marshall was called in to take a closer look at what started a fire on Grand Ave. E. in Chatham just before 11:30pm Tuesday and continues to investigate the cause and origin of the blaze.

Police say the residence is divided into four different apartments, adding that no one was home in the unit where the fire started.

No injuries were reported, but the damages are estimated at $30,000.
