Chatham Pair Connected To Break-Ins

Chatham-Kent police have made a pair of arrests in connection with dozens of break and enters that took place in Chatham over the last two years.

According to police, officers were following up on a lead while investigating a break and enter on Randolph Cres. in Chatham when they found a large quantity of stolen property at a separate residence on Pearl Cres.

As a result of their findings, officers were able to identify property connected to more than 35 break-ins in Chatham that took place over the past two years.

33-year-old Benjamin Polyak and 21-year-old Ashley Rossignol, both from Chatham, are now charged with 83 criminal offences in connection with the investigation.

They're set to appear in court later this month.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
