Noise Complaint Leads To Arrest

Numerous noise complaints landed a Tilbury man in police custody.

Last night around 8:30pm, officers received a noise complaint and issued a warning after they found him sitting on his porch drinking beer.

Officers issued him a by-law ticket when they returned just before 9pm to find him still on the porch with the music turned up even louder.

At 9:30pm, police returned to the home because the man outside yelling at his neighbours.

The 38-year-old was taken into custody for being intoxicated in a public place, and held until sober for his own safety.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
