Knife Attack In Dover Township

A Dover Township woman is facing three charges after an early morning disturbance involving kitchen knives.

Police were called to a residence on Winterline Rd. around 1am. Investigators say the man and woman were arguing when the woman grabbed a handful of kitchen knives and started throwing them around the apartment.

The man locked himself in the bathroom while police say the woman began stabbing the bathroom door. Officers say the woman left the apartment and returned with a fire extinguisher and starting banging on the door.

Police say she left once again and eventually re-entered the apartment and started waving a knife in the direction of the man and a neighbour before leaving on foot. Officers say they located the intoxicated woman on Winterline Rd. where she was arrested.

The 32-year-old has been charged with weapons dangerous and two counts of assault with a weapon and was being held pending a bail hearing.
