Erieau Man Dies Following Crash

A crash in Harwich Township involving a motorcycle and a car has now turned fatal.

Police say 49-year-old Clifford 'Jamie' Stokes of Erieau died last Friday as a result of injuries suffered in the crash.

Investigators say Stokes was riding his Harley Davidson northbound on Bisnett Line shortly after 2:30pm on October 27th when a Chevrolet Impala turned from Erieau Rd. and directly into his path. He was transported to the Health Alliance with life threatening injuries and later airlifted to Victoria Hospital in London, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The 59-year-old woman driving the Impala wasn't injured.

Chatham-Kent Police are still investigating the crash and have yet to lay any charges. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact police.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
