Maroons Lose To Nationals

The Chatham Maroons fell 7-2 to the London Nationals on Sunday.

The Maroons started the game off strong, scoring a 2-1 lead in the first period. However, the Nationals pull away from Chatham in the second with a 3-2 advantage. London was able to score another four unanswered goals in the final frame to earn the win.

Steven Beenackers scored both goals for Chatham.

The Maroons return to the ice on Thursday to take on the Lambton Shores Predators at 7pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
