Newkirk Property Move Prompts Outages

Part of the Sicklesteel-Newkirk property is being relocated and preserved, but the move could affect some Hydro One customers.

Hydro One officials say power outages will take place sometime between 9am and 5pm Tuesday, and lasting up to three hours. This as the main building on the property is relocated from Longwoods Rd. to Talbot Trail.

After the property was denied heritage designation in July, owner Keith Graham confirmed to BlackburnNews.com the house is going to Cedar Springs businessman Don Thompson. The house will be taken along Highway 40 to a new property on Talbot Trail.

Hydro One officials say affected customers will be notified by telephone before the move. Anyone with more questions can call 1-877-506-7584 or 416-345-6868.
