Boil Water Advisory In Thamesville

A boil water advisory that is in effect for the Town of Thamesville and several other area streets could be lifted Thursday night.

The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit says the first set of samples came back good and they will be updating the status of the ban at 8pm Thursday.

The advisory will remain in place until the health unit receives "good results" from two consecutive set of samples at least 24 hours apart.

They recommend bringing water to a boil for at least one minute before using it for things like drinking, making baby formula, brushing teeth and washing raw foods.

The boil water advisory is also in effect for the following streets:

  • Longwoods Rd.
  • Huff's Side Rd.
  • Evergreen Line
  • Industrial Line
  • Baseline Rd.
  • Sharrow Rd.
  • Grove Mills Rd.
  • Cidar Mill Rd.
  • Dawn Mills Rd.
  • Station Rd.
  • Zone 1

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
