Thousands of local residents lined the streets of downtown Chatham to catch a glimpse of Old St. Nick during this year's Santa Claus Parade.
The parade kicked off Friday night on the Lacroix St. bridge and made its way down King St., before ending at the WISH Centre.
For Chatham-Kent resident Anna Kennedy, it was her third year attending the parade with her family. She says they have enjoyed seeing it grow each year.
"Compared to the first year we've really seen it grow a lot, which is fantastic to see our community continue to grow and participate in a parade like this," she says.
Nora Denomy says she attends the parade every year with her children to get into the spirit of the season.
"It's a family tradition, we love it. I have two little children and my daughter was in the parade this year," says Denomy. "So, we're very excited and getting into the holiday spirit."
Donations were collected during the parade that will help a number of local groups such as the The Salvation Army and Chatham-Kent Children Services.
