Police Arrest Three Impaired Drivers

Chatham-Kent Police have charged three individuals with impaired driving following separate stops last night.

In one instance an officer spotted a vehicle in the middle of Duke St. in Chatham around 9pm yesterday with no lights or license plates.

Meantime, around 10pm yesterday police say they received a call about a possible impaired driver leaving the Via Rail parking lot in Chatham and the SUV stopped on Tecumseh Line.

And around 11:30pm yesterday, an officer observed a vehicle swerving all over Erie St. S. in the Ridgetown area.

In all three cases the drivers were transported to headquarters and failed breath tests.

The 35-year-old Chatham man, 49-year-old Tilbury woman, and 36-year-old Howard Township man were all charged and released with future court dates.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
