Catholic Board And CUPE Agreement

The St. Clair Catholic District School Board could soon have full labour peace with its support staff represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees.

Local 4168 represents the board's librarians, custodians, clerical and other staff. The tentative agreement was reached Friday and the board will vote on it December 8.

However the board will also discuss CUPE issues at tonight's meeting.

Up for ratification is the central terms reached at the provincial table November 2. None of the details will be released until after ratification.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
