Weapons Charges In Wallaceburg

A Wallaceburg man is facing numerous weapons charges following an assault.

Yesterday afternoon, officers were called to a residence on Wallace St. and learned that the suspect had fled the area in a blue Dodge Charger.

Police located the vehicle on Margaret Ave. and pulled him over. The suspect was in the back seat and was was concealing something in his hand, but when asked to show it to the officer he threw it on the floor.

A search found the 19-year-old was allegedly in possession of a flick knife, a pellet gun that was made to look like a handgun, and a paintball gun that looked like a machine gun.

He's facing five weapon related charges and three counts of breach of probation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
