Goodfellows Collecting Donations

Chatham Goodfellows volunteers are getting ready to head out into the community tonight to collect donations during their annual porchlight campaign.

Board member Tim Mifflin says they'll try to reach as many homes as possible.

"We'll primarily be out in the greater Chatham area -- we can't cover the whole municipality," says Mifflin. "We ask folks to keep their porch light on and give what they can."

Volunteers will be meeting at the Spirit and Life Centre in Chatham at 5:30pm.

The Goodfellows use the money they collect during the campaign to purchase toys and food that will be distributed in their Christmas baskets.
