Police Chase Leads To Next Day Arrest

Chatham-Kent Police have made an arrest following a high speed chase over the weekend.

An officer on patrol Saturday afternoon in Chatham recognized a driver on Lacroix St. who's driving privileges were suspended. While attempting a traffic stop the driver fled at a high rate of speed and the pursuit was called off.

Police were able to locate the suspect on Lorne Ave. in Chatham last night and arrested a 29-year-old man. He is charged with flight from police, use of plate not authorized for vehicle , and two counts of driving while under suspension.

The suspect was released with a future court date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
