Impaired Driver Arrested Near Headquarters

A Chatham woman faces impaired driving charges after a traffic stop near OPP headquarters.

An OPP officer stopped a car on Park Ave. E. near Maple Leaf Dr. just before 1am. While speaking with the 25-year-old woman, the officer determined she had been consuming alcohol and further tests indicated the driver was over the legal limit.

The woman was charged and released with a future court date.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
