Sting Unveil Ugly Christmas Sweater Jerseys

The Sarnia Sting have officially unveiled their ugly Christmas sweater jerseys to be worn December 11 against the Windsor Spitfires.

Communications and Game Day Manager Dach Hiller says the sweaters will be auctioned off after the game with proceeds benefiting the Inn of the Good Shepherd.

He says $5 from every ticket purchased at the Inn of the Good Shepherd or Mainstreet Credit Union will go toward the Inn.

Mainstreet Credit Union will be on hand with a photo booth set up on the concourse.

Non-perishable food items are being accepted at the door.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
