UPDATE: Bomb Threat Clears Chatham Bank

No one was hurt after a bomb threat was made at the CIBC on King St. in Chatham this afternoon.

Chatham-Kent police say it happened about 3:30pm and the building was evacuated without incident.

Police located a person matching the description of the suspect and arrested him a short distance away from the bank.

No bomb was discovered and the building was turned back over to bank officials shortly after 4pm.

A 52-year-old man of no fixed address remains in custody and the investigation is ongoing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
