The Santa Claus parade in Bothwell gets underway at 6:30pm at Zone Central Public School. It will proceed down Main St., east on George St., and concluding at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 252.
The annual event is expected to end at 7:30pm.
In the meantime, Blenheim's annual parade gets underway at 7pm.
SPS Board Chair Kelly Ash said the decision followed discussions with Acting Chief Mike Federico and aligns with practices at other police services.
The annual Canada Day parade will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, from Wildwood Park to Kenwick Park.
The $7.6 million project, which also involved water and sewer infrastructure improvements, began in 2024.
