73's Blank Visiting Kings

Trevor Wheaton stopped all 26 shots he faced in helping the Essex 73's to a 4-0 shutout of the visiting Dresden Kings.

The 73's had four different goal scorers as Matthew Hebert, Michael Vieira, Phil Janikoswki and Tyler Turner all found the back of the net. Scoring was well spread out for the 73's with 11 players in all getting on the score sheet, each with a single point.

The Kings couldn't make the most of their opportunities, being sent to the powerplay five times and failing to score on each occasion.

Joel Sowinski made 32 saves for the Kings in the loss.
